Christ Church Alsager

Church Road Alsager

http://christchurchalsager.uk

Welcome to Christ Church Alsager. We are a lively part of the Church of England in Alsager, South Cheshire -between Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe.

We are a wide mix of ages who are on an exciting journey, seeking to follow Jesus Christ and grow in 3 directions...
- Upwards: deeper in our love for God
- Inwards: stronger in our relationships with one another
- Outwards: wider in sharing God’s love with our community.

Our style is relaxed, our approach is Bible-based and open to the work of the Holy Spirit and we benefit from the influences of New Wine, Spring Harvest and Alpha.

We have different styles of Sunday service (see below) either more formal with hymns (9am), or informal led by a band (11am). Coffee & doughnuts are served in between. We have full-time youth workers and enthusiastic children's workers. There's plenty more going on during the week for all ages. We also have regular services in the village of Oakhanger.

Whether you are 0 or 100, feel you have a close relationship with God or are just starting to wonder what life’s all about, we’d love you to join us.

St Mary Magdalene

Crewe Road Alsager Stoke-on-Trent
(01270) 879114
http://www.stmarysalsager.org/

Our worship is more or less in the round, reflecting our belief in the priesthood of the gathered community. Children and childishness are welcome. Girls and boys may choose to use the play area, or to take part in planned activities.

We are popular catholic in tradition, our liturgy aiming at being both dignified and relaxed. The music is led by organ and choir.

The church building, a listed example of 19th Century Perpendicular by Austin and Paley, is light, spacious and pleasing. On most days it is open, between about 9 am and 3 pm. We believe that God is revealed by Jesus to be open. We hope that our building itself exercises a modest ministry of inclusion.

Our congregation includes people of diverse ages, backgrounds and opinions. Many of the adults are actively involved in public life and in charitable work. We aim to tell the story of Jesus; to nourish friendship and fellowship; and to offer practical encouragement and spiritual accompaniment in faith and in doubt.

St. Mary's welcomes Baptism enquires. Please contact our baptism co-ordinator, Jan Kermeen on 01270 873706 or [email protected].
